Liberty & Justice Outfitters: Our Story
About Us
Liberty & Justice Outfitters was founded by Suzy and Jim Frankian, a couple whose journey together began as high school sweethearts. Suzy excelled as a cheerleader and a standout softball pitcher, while Jim distinguished himself as both an all-league football player and the school president. Their partnership is a true American love story. As they like to say, “We’ve been dating for 45 years and married for 40 of those years.” Throughout their time together, they have made their family home in southern California, where they have lived, worked, attended church, served in the community and raised four children.
Origins and Outdoor Lifestyle
From the very start of their relationship, Suzy and Jim have shared a passion for the outdoors and an active lifestyle. A family cabin in the Sierra Nevada mountains of central California quickly became a cherished retreat. At the cabin, they passed down outdoor experiences and life lessons to their children, friends, and extended family. Their activities included hiking, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, horseshoes, archery, shooting, backpacking, horseback riding, off-roading, jet skiing, enjoying campfires, stargazing, tree felling, log splitting, and virtually every other outdoor pursuit imaginable.
The activities weren’t just contained to the mountains. We can’t forget to that frequent trips to the beach, golf course, basketball/volleyball courts and softball fields rounded out the experiences.
Values and Inspiration
Alongside their enthusiasm for outdoor adventure, Suzy and Jim developed a profound appreciation for the beauty, majesty, and freedom of opportunity found in the United States of America. Inspired by these values, they founded Liberty & Justice Outfitters as a way to celebrate, promote, and defend two essential American ideals: liberty and justice. To them, these values are inseparable and central to the company’s mission.
